Memorial 5-26-14

In general , days of remembrance are important to us; anniversaries, birthdays, special events and notable dates of old, today, being Memorial Day, we celebrate those who served and sacrificed to provide us with freedoms of liberty.

Similar to veterans, Christian saints and martyrs are no different! All of them individually and collectively served to bring about a right of passage in some capacity, for the benefit of all. The grandest of Christian benefactors we have is Jesus Christ himself, for truly His contribution was the Greatest!

For many, it's ignorantly reduced to a day off from work, a barbecue with friends, or the opening day at the beach, but the one thing that every veteran of loss wants others to do is observe with gratitude and thankfulness that opportunity, given to all, at the cost of those who served. They want to be acknowledged in a meaningful way.

There are many ways to show your gratitude and make a difference. give it some thought and see what feels best to you, support a cause that helps to support them, tell one of them how thankful you are, pray for them. get creative and find a new way to say thanks.

There is an all too prominent threat that still lingers here even with all of our liberties, it's the war against evil, in that struggle we all should be geared up and manning the front line. Draft yourself today into the Army of Gods kingdom, He will equip you with all you need, all you must do is apply with an open heart and a willingness to surrender all.  Principalities and powers that be are NO match for God and His elect!

Have a Blessed memorial day, make it a memorable and thankful one!

1Corinthians 11;24
And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Luke 22:9

And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Acts 2:42

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
