Have it your way is not on Gods menu! 6/29/15

God is not a short order, supply chain. Everyone wants it fast and easy. In the world today, there are many who are dangerously unaware of God's nature. They are ignorant to the provocation they cause within the very one relationship that is most critical. That of the sinner (as we all are) and the much needed Savior (the Lord himself) We can never achieve the correct posture needed for a close and fulfilling relationship with the Lord, if He is treated like a "Have it your way", serve yourself, made to order, no commitment, kind of King. He requires commitment, an earnest desire, humility & the willingness to sacrifice self.

You wouldn't order TacoBell and then bring it to McDonald's, proceeding to sit down, eat and then demand extra sauce or complain about what was missing from your order, now would you?! If you dared to, you would be met with looks of disdain and probably thrown out on your ear!  Yet, in some respect, this is exactly what happens, when people take their own liberties and then complain to God why it's not right, or expect Him to immediately satisfy their conflict. First of all God doesn't take orders from us. Absurd and not appreciated, are two words that come to mind! Our precious Lord sees this ignorance and still, patiently waits for many to come to their senses, to get with the program!

Did we not see it this week, in our leaders and in the outward displays of those who should know better?! All I can say is, it is a shameful thing to in one hand invoke the name of the almighty, calling His attention down in such an elaborate way and then vehemently, provoke Him with such atrocious and deliberate disobedience. What is done in darkness, shall always be revealed by the light. We had a day where the spoken message was directed to the almighty above, but the truth of what was later displayed and endorsed, was anything but respectful of His office. We are not not to judge others in their sin, that is His job, but it is our job to stand for truth, it is wrong to graft those things into our legal systems simply because it's popular or widely practiced. Slippery, slippery slope, dope!

The first time the Rainbow ever came to be, was after the flood, over a society gone amoral. The flood was the result of Gods wrath, after many warnings which went ignored . Here we see the Devil mocking God, saying..."Look, they display Your rainbow so proudly!" it's totally a slap in the face to the Almighty. To further that mockery, this week they moved to pull down one flag that represents slavery to man and are embracing one that represents heinous Sin in Gods eyes, which is truly symbolic of slavery to Satan. God have mercy! It was done by the margin and is an atrocity and needs to be repealed.

There is a difference between discernment and discrimination, it's high time that everyone re-educate themselves on what that difference is. Again, its important to preface the problem here, isn't with the person(s) but the sin.

God is not someone to make deals with, like a bartering agent. He is not moved by menacing negotiations. He is not coerced by feeble justifications. Pray for this nation, this country, these leaders, these youths, these people, these beliefs, these infractions. God is quickly loosing patience. We have the Letter of the Law and the meaning of the Law, God is not in the business of mincing any of them. We best not either. Just because something is legal, doesn't make it right and just because everyone might believe the lie, it does not make it true.

You can not serve both God an 'Mc'-mammon, choose this day.

Lord, please have mercy on us collectively. We repent on behalf of all the wickedness we see so blatantly and foolishly celebrated and waived around like a macabre corpse attached to a stake. Have mercy upon us and them.

Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his owne eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
2 Peter 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
Luke 17:26-30
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
Jude 1:5-7

5 Now I desire to remind you, though you know all things once for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day. 7 Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.
Rev 3:15-16
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Eradicate Hate 6/22/15

In general, we all use the word hate so casually. It's even used as a term of dislike when speaking about the very subject of Hate. It's the word of choice for severe dislike, its even used to describe mild annoyance. It's so widely accepted but it has deeper implications, and seeks to take root in our hearts like a rogue emotion capable of great harm.

Hate has many ugly cousins, such as bigotry, indifference, insecurity, jealousy, narcissism, rage, racism. When one comes to town, they all like to get together and stir up trouble! It needs to stop. Everyone believes this is true, everyone says so, but are we ourselves guilty of the very thing that we loathe?! We need greater accountability within. We ought to be praying for our enemies and I mean really praying that they receive forgiveness, self awareness and Christ awareness. Imagine for a moment being like them, not a pleasant thought, huh?. Well, at least you can sleep at night. People who are mean and ugly have to live with themselves as well as one day face the mirror and ultimately answer to God.

Forgiveness and tolerance! It's a bitter pill. I know because I have overcome through Christ. I have had innumerable instances of it in my life. Hurt, betrayal, malice and every variation has tried to come at me. It takes work, patience and a willingness to let go. I have learned that anyone who would go to great lengths to hurt me, is truly pathetic. I have learned to see just beyond, the in your face insult, the behind your back disloyalty, the right in front of the face oversight. Somewhere along the way, I recognized that I held the power. That they pulled me into a current of ugly and I could either swim back to shore or stay there to scrap it out. The smart choice is to remove ourselves and turn it over to the Lord. After all, He knows best how to handle them and always does, somehow, someway, one day!

Retaliation is always like oxygen applied to a fire. Keep your lashes and eye brows in tact, step back and diffuse. We need to refuse those who attempt to insight us. They want a fight, they want an excuse and a reason to engage, they want a piece. We look into the eyes of someone like this youth, that committed this horrible act towards our family in Christ (in S. Carolina) and we see vacancy, we see a consciousness void of understanding, there is a depth of ignorance in his very soul. He is a casualty of his own. The world has many more, just like him. Our only defense is LOVE & the Power of Christ through prayer!

1 John 4:20 - If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Proverbs 10:12 - Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

1 John 3:15 - Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Proverbs 6:16-19 - These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:

Romans 1:26-27 - For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Leviticus 19:17 - Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 - Charity suffereth long, [and] is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

John 13:34-35 - A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Proverbs 15:1 - A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

1 John 2:9 - He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

Matthew 6:24 - No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Proverbs 8:13 - The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

John 15:18 - If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.

Matthew 10:22 - And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Relationship versus Religion 6/15/15

There comes a point in the life of every child of God, called the self check. When you have come so far, have been touched so deeply, changed so greatly, that you know,  beyond any doubt, Whom you belong to.

You come to a realization, as most any person would. Having known your past, your potential, your capabilities and all of the instances that those tendencies produced. The human, sees the undeserving, the spirit sees the servitude. The human sees the faults, the spirit sees the blueprint, the renovation & the completion.

My spirit has had much time, running the show. It has ruled over the flesh effectively enough for me to trust it. I have yielded to it and am quite happy with it's explicit & direct purpose over my life and interactions. It is the guiding force of my Life, the Holy Spirit that God promised and placed within me.

So many are facing a soon to come, decision time, lets hope they choose correctly. lets hope they haven't forfeited their umpteenth chance. Which side of the fence will you be on or land on when all is shaken? Relationship is the leveraging force not laws of religion. God designed relationship as the intimate space between consciousness'. Religion which man designed, constructs laws & rules to eliminate infringements. It is written that no man can come to the Father lest it through His Son, Jesus the Lord. There is no incantation, sign of the cross or meat eatin' day of the week that is powerful enough to save anyone. Only through confessing our sins, professing His name and honoring His name through submissive obedience.

The entire purpose of His plan and the work He performed was to provide what we couldn't and perpetually place us in the state of dependency. How else can anyone be a child of God unless you are one of His dependents?! In order to be saved, to be forgiven, to go to Heaven, you simply must accept this role as well as appreciate it.

Recognizing His provision, power, protection and prosperity, over all things! Relationship leads to trust, submission and ultimate peace. Religion leads to lawlessness, loopholes and lack of understanding. Religion sent Jesus to die a horrific death. Relationship sent Him to sit at the right hand of the Father, having earned full custody of all those promised to Him, as every hair on our heads is numbered (*Luke 12:7) and all that the Father has given Him, is His, (* John 6:37)

Oh yes we are blessed to know this. Can you imagine for a minute though, all those that have yet to find themselves in this enlightenment? So many wish to cling to their own constructs, it will be to their peril. Prayer is a definite weapon, as we intercede for the lost. The only other powerful force is that of our witness, the silent, the observed and the spoken. This requires that we walk in it, display it and profess it on a level that goes beyond the physical.

Relationship is the level you need to be on with the Lord Jesus Christ. Religion is what He warned of in scripture... Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

I have had enough Religion to know it's empty and meaningless. Relationship with the Living Word is the only and most crucial step. In this world of contrasts, of imposter's and authenticity's the Author of all Truth is found through Relationship, not through the letter of the Law. Religion leads to ruination. Relationship leads to Renewal.

 *Luke 12:7
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

*John 6:37
37 All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me, and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.

2Corinthians 3:6
who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament — not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.

Lord, my Beloved!

There is a chapter in the Song of Solomon that we, as His redeemed can look at and truly relate to. It's wonderfully captivating to read, it touches the depths of emotion. In essence, its an expose on the realities that we, His bride, the church all face. It's Song Of Solomon 5: 1-16

We have the knowledge of our own shortcomings. The acknowledgement and regret that we are unworthy. We have much reason to feel this way, for one, our own disobedience and two, our inheritance which was a gift of grace through adoption.

The other side of that coin, is the realization. There is a definite tangible feeling, a sense of knowing, comfort, desire and contentedness that arises from the experience of communing with Christ. Those in the world, who are unfamiliar with this, all share the same emptiness. There is a unifying fact, when you have been touched by the Holy Spirit, you are forever changed. You can choose to run or hide and many do, for a time but it is an inescapable knowing that will never leave you. It is Christ, it's His impression upon our hearts and our conscience, the Holy Spirit always present as He promised, there to comfort and guide us when we are obedient, as well as warn and provoke us to repentance.

Even if one should attempt to push Him away, it produces misery and wanting. The longing of the Spirit overrides the 'wantings' of the flesh! The excellence of this relationship exceeds anything this earthy realm could coerce you with. The best moments in this life are those that find us deep within the loving embrace of Christ.

To be smitten with the concept of perfect unity, its the desire and endeavor to bypass every struggle, every hindrance and remove every obstacle. ..."You can have all this world, just give me Jesus!"

Song of Solomon 5 - (KJV)

I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.
I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.
I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them?
My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.
I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.
I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.
The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love.
What is thy beloved more than another beloved, O thou fairest among women? what is thy beloved more than another beloved, that thou dost so charge us?
10 My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand.
11 His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy, and black as a raven.
12 His eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.
13 His cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet flowers: his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh.
14 His hands are as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with sapphires.
15 His legs are as pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold: his countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.
16 His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

First things first! 6/1/15

Most of us wouldn't even think of leaving home without our keys, money, ID or essentials. Why is it then, that we can arise without even considering going to the Word of God, for that critical self check, direction and preparation?

Most of us have a routine, which usually includes a shower, deodorant, perfume/cologne, clothes, accessories, shoes. Aren't we instructed to be more concerned with the breastplate of righteousness versus the Under Armour or Victoria's Secret wears?!

We all lock our cars & homes upon exiting, but how often do we leave the most valuable vessel we posses, at risk!? How do figure, some would ask?! Well, if you are not daily tuning into and filling yourself up with  His Word, you are under nourished and 'm.i.a.'

I propose to you today, this simple & necessary suggestion; invest 12 minutes in reading the word, communing with God, asking Him for His guidance, protection, provision & wisdom for your day. Before leaving your dwelling, take a few minutes to listen to or read from His Word, it is less than 10 percent of the day that He has already blessed you with, do this at the end of the day as well. When you do this, you will find a greater peace in every decision, every outcome, every turn of events. You will know that You did what you could, that you didn't leave your spirit vulnerable to attacks. You will find such advantage as you have never known before.

There is even a handy little App (named, "YouBible") for your phone, tablet or computer, that will READ it aloud for you. You need to understand the importance of this.  We are living in perilous times, even more important than ever, is this practice. Things are advancing swiftly in the Kingdom, God observes those who observe and obey Him. He needs our undivided attention, if even for a minute, at the very beginning and at the end of the day. Our in between time, literally becomes our open updates to Him, as we pray and notice those confirmations play out from what we have read that very day.

Get your BIBLE, keep it close, use it, adore it, absorb it. Its the most useful thing you will ever have access to next to the "Love" that died to preserve it! It's value is unfathomable for the content.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Psalms 119:105 - NUN. Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Matthew 4:4 - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Joshua 1:8 - This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Romans 15:4 - For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Psalms 119:18 - Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

1 Timothy 4:13 - Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

Psalms 119:10-11 - With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

Psalms 1:2 - But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

1 Peter 2:2 - As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:7 - Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

John 15:7 - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Psalms 119:1-127 - ALEPH. Blessed [are] the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

Job 23:12 - Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary [food].

1 Timothy 4:5-6 - For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
