MONDAY MORNING MESSAGE For The Eternal Body Of Christ 6-27-11

Goooood Morninnnnnnnnnnnnnnng!

Some revealing insights have occurred...I'm just gonna throw out a couple of common expressions (excuses)...we are gonna take a closer look at them; some parallels are going to be drawn, others will be refuted through scripture and we are going to walk away from this message Blessed and Empowered; ready to tear up hypocrisy, complacency and defeat! All in the Honor of the Lord!
  • " It'll do, it's good enough!"
  • "What He or She doesn't know, wont hurt them!"   (see Psalm 139 below)
  • "Fine, but I'm not going out of my way"

If possession is 9/10's of the Law than mental knowledge of something denotes some sort of accountability; God says that if you become made aware of a situation where you could potentially help but choose not to, it becomes a sin on your part because you withheld your goodness. God supplies all things and whenever we stifle that we are stepping on His toes.

Quite often I would write a Monday Message, pray over it , send it out and then find myself at some point being tested on it later. I know this, have grown accustomed to it, usually welcome it, occasionally sweat over it and for the most part always hope and pray that I don't disappoint the Lord! This week, He turned the tables on me; I recognize having been tested first and now draw from it to expound further, here, for us to review.

James 4:17
New King James Version (NKJV)
17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it,to him it is sin.

God, when allowed to flow and work through you, will and can use every situation according to His will. This requires intense obedience and patience; it is not easy to remain poised when someone is blocking you in or calling upon you when your schedule is already booked solid hectic. It is precisely in these moments that the testing comes; How else can the Lord determine your readiness of heart?

Colossians 3:22-24
King James Version (KJV)
 22Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God;
 23And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
 24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

James 1:22-25
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

 It is hypocrisy to go on in this life untouched, unchanged, unruffled in a world like we face daily. You simply can not be a Christian and isolate yourself away from the trials of life or the service of it. God wants us to have the servants heart. This means we attend at once to the slightest of opportunities to do good..  Some ideas come to mind; give someone a ride, buy someone a meal, help them move, go out of your way to do something for them in their life.

 "drawing near to him with your mouth and your lips while your heart has been far front him?" (Isa.29:13)

God is the chief authority and issuer of our existence; it is within His power to lengthen or shorten our days. Many forget this until they are in dire need or cry out to Him. Let us all with humbleness and trembling realize His great Mercies toward us daily.

Genesis 6:3
New King James Version (NKJV)
3 And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive[a] with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

King James Bible
Psalm 24:1 The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

I had a discussion with a friend and it was tossed out that God doesn't particularly care where we work...but He does care How we work. He can and will use us wherever we happen to be, wherever we hang our hat! There is no task too great or too tedious that can not become enjoyable when the Heart for God employs His assistance; approach your dreaded drudgery with a new appreciation and tell yourself you are going to do it and do it well for God! You will see, you will be amazed and what you gain from it goes miles beyond what you think you might have avoided.

God Bless you and Let's all get busy for the Lord; WE are His Hands and Feet!

Heavenly Father, I surrender my heart and my time to You for the purposes you have set aside and the reasons I often have no idea. I ask forgiveness and I repent for prior occasions where I might have had the ability or the knowledge that I could help and did not. Please help me in the future to be that person, please allow me the strength and the courage to witness through action as readily as I witness through speech. Help me to recognize what I can do and not let the enemy persuade me against it; help me to remember that the ocean is made up of many droplets of water and that every one of them is part of the whole. My contributions count no matter how large or small,  especially when they are entrusted to you for increase! Thank you Lord for equipping with me so many gifts; I am truly grateful! AMEN

Psalm 139:1-17
1
LORD, you have searched me out and known me; *
you know my sitting down and my rising up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
2
You trace my journeys and my resting-places *
and are acquainted with all my ways.
3
Indeed, there is not a word on my lips, *
but you, O LORD, know it altogether.
4
You press upon me behind and before *
and lay your hand upon me.
5
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; *
it is so high that I cannot attain to it.
6
Where can I go then from your Spirit? *
where can I flee from your presence?
7
If I climb up to heaven, you are there; *
if I make the grave my bed, you are there also.
8
If I take the wings of the morning *
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
9
Even there your hand will lead me *
and your right hand hold me fast.
10
If I say, "Surely the darkness will cover me, *
and the light around me turn to night,"
11
Darkness is not dark to you;
the night is as bright as the day; *
darkness and light to you are both alike.
12
For you yourself created my inmost parts; *
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
13
I will thank you because I am marvelously made; *
your works are wonderful, and I know it well.
14
My body was not hidden from you, *
while I was being made in secret
and woven in the depths of the earth.
15
Your eyes beheld my limbs, yet unfinished in the womb;
all of them were written in your book; *
they were fashioned day by day,
when as yet there was none of them.
16
How deep I find your thoughts, O God! *
how great is the sum of them!
17
If I were to count them, they would be more in number than the sand; *
to count them all, my life span would need to be like yours.

MONDAY MORNING MESSAGE For The Eternal Body Of Christ 6-20-11

Goood Morninnnnnnnnnnng!

The Spirit has led me back in time to re-introduce a word on having and maintaining a relationship with God. Below is a segment I had written sometime ago. In respect and reverence to Fathers and Father's day, does not our Father in Heaven deserve such accolades, such admiration? How can we truly show God How much we love him? How does a child honor their parents? Surely it is in Obedience and in Surrender to their will, their rules and their precepts!

Luke 10:27 says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind…love your neighbor as yourself."

James 4:6-10
New King James Version (NKJV)
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

      “ God resists the proud,
      But gives grace to the humble.”[a]
Humility Cures Worldliness

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, youdouble-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

God highlighted this word "submit" and I remember the word "surrender". God wants us to know him enough that we might submit & surrender but the average heart and mind sees these two words in an unsavory manner. The worlds version of surrender is rather unappealing; after all who wants to give up, forfeit, give in and pipe down? Not me, not you, we all think of this as some sort of defeat. It carries the connotation of weakness, inability or lack of where with all.

In actuality, surrender and submission to God is a very necessary and vital part of a relationship with Him. Without it we are separate from his supply. Just like the check is in the mail, until the receiver is in acknowledgment of the transaction no progress can made.

This is an act of trust, it requires faith and it leads to greater ability. Once you begin to surrender and submit you begin to realize it's not that ugly word called weakness or laziness. Far from that it's the beginning of the outward and upward call in Christ Jesus. Many a strong characters in the Bible were fully surrendered and they remain historically viewed as great warriors for the kingdom. We have, Enoch, Abraham, Moses, David, Job, Peter and a host of others. Strong, powerful, formidable men of God who indeed surrendered their will for God's...they turned over their failing desires and weaknesses for the strength of God. When we stop trying to do it our way we begin to see the true way, it's through the act of surrender to submission.

Its often the catalyst to immense change; having exhausted all other possibilities. How loving and wonderful is our God like a faithful Father who says, "Are you done now?....May I show you the correct way before you hurt yourself?"....God knows we are stubborn, headstrong, disobedient...so the submission and the surrender becomes equivalent to putting yourself into alignment with more than you can fathom or imagine. It takes real strength and courage to resist the world and to accept the calling.

Heavenly Father, author and finisher of our faith. Allow us to see in part the magnificent plans you hold for us, help us to trust our entire existence; thoughts, deeds, actions and reactions to your guiding influence. Lead us to still waters where we may see the reflection of your deep love for us and fortify our resolve to become closer to you, therefore embarking upon the life that you intended for us from the beginning of all creation. We praise you Father and we surrender to you moment by moment, impulse by impulse...taking up your ways and instruction while praising your Holy Name. AMEN!

Even though this poem (see below) was written for my Earthly Father who passed away whn I was just 12...I would like to dedicate it also to my Heavenly Father who knew me before all things were ever created. Thank you Abba Pappa, I know you, I love you and I follow you...thank you for always preparing my way!

MONDAY MORNING MESSAGE FOR The Eternal Body Of Christ 6-13-11

 ㋡  Goooooooooooood Morninnnnnnnnnnng!

Today we are going to take a deeper look at the principal of Throwing a fleece; Casting a Lot...seeking definitive direction from the Lord and why the old testament spoke of these acts more prevalently than the New.

When a Builder is seeking to do good work; there is a mindset of measure twice, cut once.  When you want a sturdily constructed piece of workmanship it is customary to "true it up" and this is done by levelling & squaring. It's likened to a balance check, if you are dealing with money, just like a scientist uses specimens in a controlled environment in order that they might measure the effectiveness of an  applied process. Most everything we do, we have means for assessing the accuracy and completion of things, for the soundness and the settling of a thing.

"Urim and Thummim" means simply, Truth and Light.  leaders of the Israelites believed they could receive divine guidance. In its physical form they were precious stones that were placed in a special breastplate affixed under the robe of the High Priest. He would wear this Holy apron and then go behind the veil in the tabernacle into the presence of the Lord and would receive an answer based on the light that the stone(s) gave off...a sort of Yay or Nay.

The high priest's breastplate was called an Ephod which had 14 stones plus the Urim and Thummim.  Urim and Thummim appears seven times in the Bible

 In Hebrew Urim is     אוּרִים ...a masculine noun

 Urim in Greek   ἄλευρον (aleuron) which means to grindhttp://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=G224&t=KJV

and
In Hebrew Thummim is  תֻּמִּים...a proper masculine noun

Thummim = "perfection"1) stones provided for the means of achieving a sacred lot

a) used with the Urim, the will of God was revealed

http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H8550&t=KJV
Throwing a fleece:
Judges 6:37 "look, I shall put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor; if there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that You will save Israel by my hand, as You have said. "It was still not enough that he reversed it to be absolutely sure that he was chosen to do this ( verse 39)
Even Abraham did a form of it....
(Gen 24:14-15)  And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast showed kindness unto my master.
 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's  brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

In this day and age, we have the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies through Jesus' life and His victory over death! The act of seeking God's will; throwing  a fleece and consulting the Urim and Thummim (truth and light) is now made available to us by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Our New Testament priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, has the urim and the thummim to guide us. He has the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. For us, some call it the Holy Ghost gut, that deep down, in the pit of your stomach knowing. We may ask and consult the Lord in ever major decision, knowing in full confidence that the Lord will reveal what we need to know, as and when we need to know it. Patience, faith and obedience are the keys to discerning the answers given to us.

Romans 8

34Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Romans 8

26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself [Himself] maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered [with words which are unutterable].

God is faithful to answer; sometimes it yes, sometimes it not now and sometimes it's something better! Truth is available to us 24/7 in the word of God and seeking it out. Light is what is present in us when we have accepted salvation through Christ; the Holy spirit dwells within and we are living light. The word of God is our light. Shine the flashlight of faith upon all that you need to discover. Sometimes our faith or judgement is clouded by our emotional attachments and it becomes necessary to to seek a tangible reinforcement from the Lord. Thankfully, God is merciful, kind and patient with us and knows exactly the language of our hearts and the ticking of our internal clocks to get the message to us in a way that just makes perfect sense!

Heavenly Father, we seek you in the tabernacle when we come to you in willing obedience through faith. Seeking Your will and Divine direction is the first step in a true christian walk and Godly living;  our best effort is secure and guaranteed because it is backed by your Mighty and Sovereign Authority. Help us Lord to seek your will in all areas, to be patient in our waiting and to accurately discern that which is your will for us. Quicken our readiness and hasten not to deliver us from the snares of our own misguided nature. Provide many confirmations in all the ways that you know our conscious mind seeks to accept them. The language of Love given by the Holy Spirit is heard in our spiritual ears and its sound is completely unique, the deepest truest knowing of the heart that is tuned toward your grace and mercy! Thank you Lord that you go before us preparing the way and after us, constantly showing us the way and encouraging us the enitre time. We praise and honor you Lord, help us to be the brighter light to those whom may seek to emulate us and to bring greater Glory to the kingdom. In Christ Jesus Yeshua we pray! AMEN!

Exodus 28:30Also put the Urimand the Thummim in the breastpiece, so they may be over Aaron's heart whenever he enters the presence of the  LORD. Thus Aaron will always bear the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the LORD.

Leviticus 8:8He placed the breastpiece on him and put the Urim and Thummim in the breastpiece. He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring of the Urim before the LORD. At his command

Deuteronomy 33:8About Levi he said: "Your ThummimandUrim belong to the man you favored. You tested him at Massah; you contended with him at  the waters of Meribah.

1 Samuel 28:6He inquired of the LORD, but the LORD did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets.

Ezra 2:63The governor ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food until there was a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim.

Nehemiah 7:65The governor, therefore, ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food until there should be a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim. He and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command they will come in."

Numbers 27:21And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask [counsel] for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, [both] he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

MONDAY MORNING MESSAGE For The Eternal Body Of Christ 6-6-11

Gooooooood Morninnnnnnnnnnng

What choice will you make?

I'm recalling a conversation I had with someone a few years ago whom I cared very much for. A song came on, it was an oldie.  I had heard it before but never quite knew the full meaning of the lyrical words; it was before my time but none the less,  it was a really popular song which is still heard occasionally til this day. It was by Donna Summer and it was called "McArthur Park"; it was during this conversation that it was explained to me in great detail, the meaning and the words.

To sum it up, "It's clearly about a love affair ending, and the person singing it is using the cake and the rain as a metaphor for that", so said the man who wrote the song in an interview with a magazine. A friend of an associate who worked with the writer later told others; "Jim was in love with a girl who left him. Months later, he heard she was getting married - in the park. Broken-hearted, he went to the wedding and, not wanting to be seen, hid in a gardener's shed. As the open-air ceremony was taking place it started to pour with rain and the rain running down the shed window made the cake look as if it was melting."

It's all quite interesting and touchingly sad. As the memory of this conversation comes to me I must admit I seldom listen to secular music anymore and this is by choice. For one thing,  99.9% of it doesn't sound good and carries demonic influences. Second to that, I choose instead to honor the Lord by listening to and admiring good music with content that the Lord would approve of, Christian God glorifying music.

The main point that I wish to share in analogy and comparison... is that Christ is the estranged Lover, in the shed; watching His precious Beloved given over to another! The celebratory cake melting in the rain represents the fleeting opportunity He has provided for us to seek Him out in truthfulness, in repentance and in humility. The sadness that Christ suffers is for those whom He seeks to save, that He perished for (*Colossians 2:13-14)  and for those Who will become Eternally Betrothed to Death unless they reunite to Him. Satan is eager to gather his spoils and as sure as a hand has five fingers, a face has two eyes and body has one brain...Satan is real, his demons are at work in everything that isn't of God and all of it is being used against you! Unless of course you are with Jesus, then those things are not held against you...(*2 Cor. 5:17-19)

Don't let your recipe fade into oblivion, your cake make you sick or let the sun go down on your lack of decision. To hear of Christ's Salvation and not choose to follow is playing Russian roulette with eternal death. You may not get another chance to make it right! So for heavens sake...get Jesus in the Bake!...Need More ingredients???

The bread of Life, Good fruit, the Living Water, Salt of the Earth!

1 Cross  -  2 Sinners - 3 Nails - 4 Given

Heavenly Father, I choose you this day and treat every day as a new opportunity to stay right in your sight. Father, I ask and seek you in all areas, please remove from me anything that would hinder your will and truth from being evident in my life. Replace all of my ingredients with yours; add what you will, remove what you will and help me to rise to the level of acceptability that you see fit. When I share of myself with others, let that which they walk away with be food for thought, health to their bones and truth served with love. I pray that you advance me beyond that which you already have with strength, discernment, humility and courage to face every opportunity to serve you faithfully! Keep my garment spotless that I might stand in your presence and sit at the table that you have prepared for me! I ask this in the name of my Lord and Savior, Yeshua Jesus AMEN!

REMEMEBER...JESUS TELLS US HONESTLY ALL ABOUT HELL IN THE BIBLE.
  • Jesus DESCRIBES hell as an awful place of fiery torment.
  • Jesus DESCRIBES hell as a place from which no one can escape.
  • Jesus DESCRIBES hell as a place where longings can never be satisfied
  • Jesus DESCRIBES the rich man in hell as more serious about evangelism than he ever was on earth.
* Colossians 2:13-14
 13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
* 2 Corinthians 5:17-19
 17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Hell was created for Satan becuase of his abominations
(Ez 28.14–19)
14 “You were the anointed cherub who covers;
I established you;
You were on the holy mountain of God;
You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,
Till iniquity was found in you.
16 “By the abundance of your trading
You became filled with violence within,
And you sinned;
Therefore I cast you as a profane thing
Out of the mountain of God;
And I destroyed you, O covering cherub,
From the midst of the fiery stones.
17 “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty;
You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor;
I cast you to the ground,
I laid you before kings,
That they might gaze at you.
18 “You defiled your sanctuaries
By the multitude of your iniquities,
By the iniquity of your trading;
Therefore I brought fire from your midst;
It devoured you,
And I turned you to ashes upon the earth
In the sight of all who saw you.
19 All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you;
You have become a horror,
And shall be no more forever.”

Rev. 20: Describes the judgment of the unsaved. They’ll be judged according to the record of their life.  NOTE:  There’s no hint of another opportunity to accept the Lord there.

Rev. 20:11-15 King James Version (KJV)
 11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
 12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
 15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

2 Corinthians 5:10
 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

 Hebrews 9:27. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement...” -

John 7:24.“But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”

Romans 12
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
 3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
 4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
 5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
 6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
 7Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
 8Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
 9Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
 10Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
 11Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
 12Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
 13Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
 14Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
 15Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
 16Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
 17Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
 18If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
 19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
 20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
