No gift Like the "PRESENT" 11/30/15

If you share one meaningful thing this Season, let it be this...

God’s only plan of eternal salvation for the entire world.
The Bible specifically says, without any other possible interpretation, that there is only one God, one faith, one baptism and one way to God the Father – and that is only through His Son Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross. Jesus says that He, and only He, is the way, the truth and the life leading to God the Father and that no one comes to the Father except through Him!
Many people, including some Christians, believe that God the Father honors all other religions as long as people try to live a good and godly life and try to stay out of trouble. However, as you will see in the Scripture verses I will list below, this is not the way God the Father has everything set up. God will not honor any other religion, and He makes it very clear that it is only through His Son and His sacrificial death on the cross that will give people eternal salvation and thus eternal life with Him in heaven.
The Bible says that we are appointed for the defense of the gospel. It is our job, when called upon, to defend God and Jesus on the basics of our salvation. Here are two verses specifically telling us this:
  1. “… knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.”(Philippians 1:17)

  2. “… always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you …” (1 Peter 3:15)
Below are some of the main verses from Scripture that will deal with the basics of our salvation through Jesus Christ. These verses are the basic ammunition that you will need when witnessing to anyone.
There are 6 main principles to the basic message of God’s plan of eternal salvation for the entire world. Here they are, along with all of the Scripture verses to back them up.
1. Jesus Christ is the Only Way to God the Father and Heaven
As stated above, there is no other name under Heaven by which man can be saved other than through the name of Jesus Christ! God the Father will not honor any other name, religion or faith!
Please note the extreme power and authority on the first four verses listed below. These first four verses specifically tell us, without any other possible interpretation, that Jesus Christ is the only way to be able to receive eternal salvation with God the Father.
  1. “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

  2. “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all …” (1 Timothy 2:5)

  3. “There is one body and one Spirit … one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Ephesians 4:4)

  4. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

  5. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and find pasture … I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:9)

  6. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” (John 11:25)

  7. Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

  8. And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35)

  9. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” (John 6:51)

  10. “… whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, thatwhoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:15-16)

  11. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36)

  12. “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24)

  13. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:24)

  14. “… And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; He who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11)

  15. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.” (1 John 4:14)
I do not see any other interpretation as to what these verses are trying to tell us other than Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father and His dwelling place, heaven! I don’t think God the Father could have made things any more clearer than by the way He has worded all of the above Scripture verses!
Jesus Himself said in the New Testament that He did not come to bring peace – but division! What He means by this is that He is drawing a major battle line in the sand. You either believe in Him and everything that He stands for – or you do not. There are no middle or neutral grounds on this issue.
If you choose not to believe in Jesus and His message of eternal salvation through His death on the cross, then you will die in your sins and go straight to hell when you die – no if, ands or buts about it! The life that we are living down here on this earth is serious business! The choices that we make in this life will determine our ultimate fate in the afterlife.
Choose Jesus and the blood that He has personally shed for you on the cross – and you will become saved and born again – and you will then enter into the most incredible place imaginable when you die – heaven itself!
Choose anyone or anything else, and you will cross over into the most horrible place imaginable when you die – hell itself, and then eventually into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone after the Millennium has taken place, where the Bible says that the smoke of your torment will ascend forever and ever!
2. God Desires All Men to be Saved
God has given each man and each woman a free will to make their own choices in this life. The next 3 verses will show us that God does not want anyone to perish, but that He will not make or force anyone to accept Him and His Son and what His Son’s death on the cross really means for all of us.
Here are three very powerful verses showing that God wants all men and all women to be saved through the Blood of His Son Jesus.
  1. “… God our Savior, who desires ALL MEN to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4)

  2. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

  3. “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For WHOEVER calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:12)
Notice that God is wanting all men and all women to accept His free gift of eternal salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. He is not making any exceptions either by race, color, creed or gender.
The Bible also tells us that God the Father is no respecter of persons, which means He loves each man and each woman equally and unconditionally.
3. We Are Saved by Grace Through Faith – Not Works
The gift of eternal salvation is a free gift given by God to all those who will believe on Jesus and what His death on the cross really means for all of us. These next 3 verses will specifically tell us that good works will not get us into heaven. Works are needed after salvation.
The Bible says that faith without works is dead – but that is after you have received God’s gift of eternal salvation. After you get saved, God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and this is where you will go to work for God into whatever your calling is going to be in Him. But to initially receive the gift of eternal salvation from God the Father is simply done by having faith and belief in Jesus Christ and what He personally did for you on the cross. Here are the verses:
  1. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8)

  2. “… knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ … for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” (Galatians 2:16)

  3. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin … for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:20,23)
The Bible specifically tells us in that last verse that all men and all women have sinned and have fallen way short of the glory of our God. The Bible says that there are none that are righteous before the eyes of God the Father. As a result, none of our fleshly works, no matter how good we think they may be, will ever be good enough to get us into heaven or back into the good graces of our Lord and Savior.
4. The Gift of Salvation Now Makes Us Righteous Before God the Father
Once you become saved and born again by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, the Bible says that we are now made perfectly righteous before the eyes of God. The righteousness of Jesus has now been imputed to us. This means that we are now free to approach the throne of God for intimate prayer and communication, and when we die, we will all go straight to heaven.
Even though we will continue to commit sin from time to time, God will always forgive us as long as we properly confess each sin when it does happen. We will never become totally sinless or perfect. No one will ever become the fourth person of the Holy Trinity. Only God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are totally perfect in Their actual natures and in all of Their ways. Humans and angels are not!
The Bible says that all men have sinned and will continue to sin, and thus will fall way short of the glory of our God. That is why Jesus had to come and die for all of our sins – which will include all of the past sins that we have ever committed, all of the present sins we are now committing, and all of the future sins that we will ever commit.
As a result of Jesus dying on the cross for all of our sins, God the Father now sees all of us as righteous and justified before His very eyes – now and for all of eternity, even though we are all still sinners! Talk about an incredible pardon!
Here are two very powerful verses showing us that we have now all been made perfectly righteous and perfectly justified before God the Father as a result of Jesus dying on the cross for all of our sins.
  1. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

  2. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now beenjustified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” (Romans 5:8)
So not only do we get a full pardon and a full remission for all of our sins, but we now get to be made perfectly righteous before God the Father Himself. Righteousness and Redemption– what more could we ask for!
5. How to Become Saved and Receive the Gift of Eternal Salvation
The Bible makes it very clear as to how to receive the Gift of Eternal Salvation from God the Father:
  1. Admit that we are sinners, be willing to confess our sins before God, and be willing to repent and turn from those sins.

  2. Be willing to accept the fact that Jesus Christ came to our earth in the flesh to die on the cross for all of our sins, that He rose from the dead on the third day, and then be willing to formally accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior.
This acceptance of Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior must be confessed out loud before God the Father. It does not have to be done in a church. This can happen to anyone at anytime at any place. It can be done in the privacy of one’s own bedroom. Here are three specific verses showing all of the above points.
  1. “REPENT THEREFORE and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)

  2. “IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

  3. “… if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.” (Romans 10:9)
Notice the last verse says to confess with your mouth, and with the mouth confession is made to receive salvation. This means just saying a good, basic salvation prayer out loud direct to God the Father from your heart.
Below is a good, basic salvation prayer to give to someone who wants to get saved by accepting Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. Some people call this the “Sinners Prayer.” Others call it a basic salvation prayer. Either title will work.
BASIC SALVATION PRAYER
Say the following prayer out loud, believe it from your heart and you will be saved.
Dear Father,
I now believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came to our earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world. I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give all of us eternal life.
Lord Jesus,
I now confess to You all of the wrong and sinful things I have ever done in my life. I ask that You please forgive Me and wash away all of my sins by the blood that You have personally shed for me on the cross. I am now ready to accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. I now ask that You come into my life and live with Me for all of eternity.
Father, Jesus – I now believe that I am truly saved and born again.
Thank you Father.
Thank you Jesus.
For more information on the above Sinner’s Prayer, we have another article in our site in the Prayer section titled “The Sinner’s Prayer.” In this article, we give you some additional information as to what goes on behind the scenes in the spiritual realm when God does start to move in on someone in an effort to try and get them saved.
6. Become a Fisherman for God
All of the above are what I call the basics to understanding what eternal salvation through Jesus Christ is really all about. I will be doing other articles on what it really means to be born again, as this comes off the story of Adam and Eve.
To lead someone into eternal salvation through Jesus Christ is really a work of the Holy Spirit. I will show you how God the Father will set people up, and why every Christian needs to be open and sensitive to letting God, through the Holy Spirit, direct you as to who you should witness to and exactly how to go about it. Now that your are saved, God wants you to become a fisherman for Him.
All of the above Scripture verses will give you major, live, ammunition to use when trying to get someone saved. The Holy Spirit will really move on someone if you stay with His leadings as to when to witness to that someone and exactly how to go about it.
According to the Bible, the greatest thing we can accomplish in this life is to get another person saved and brought home to the Lord – because with the gift of eternal salvation comes the gift of eternal life – which means that when we die, we will be able to enter into heaven to be with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, all of Their angels and all of our saved loved ones who have passed away and are now living in heaven.
To bring a person into that reality after they die is the greatest thing you can do for another human being! It is the ultimate superman scenario. You are literally saving their eternal life. I do not believe there is any other accomplishment that will bring about as much fulfillment as this one act will do.
I will leave you with 16 good verses from the Bible showing you the extreme importance on God being able to use each and every one of us to get other people saved in this life.
  1. Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations …” (Matthew 28:18)

  2. And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)

  3. “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” (John 20:21)

  4. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14)

  5. “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.” (Matthew 10:27)

  6. “… to whom I now send you, to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” (Acts 26:17)

  7. Preach the word. Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, and exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” (2 Timothy 4:2)

  8. “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,who bring glad tidings of good things.” (Romans 10:15)

  9. “For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost … Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” (Matthew 18:11,14)

  10. “Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord …” (2 Timothy 1:8)

  11. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes … ” (Romans 1:16)

  12. “For I seek Your precepts. I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.” (Psalm 119:45)

  13. Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.” (Proverbs 24:11)

  14. “Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us …” (2 Corinthians 5:20)

  15. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power, to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom.” (Psalm 145:11)

  16. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness.” (Psalms 145:6)
If you believe the Holy Bible is truly the inspired and infallible Word of our God, then there is absolutely no other interpretation or spin that you can put on the above verses. God the Father has made it as clear as He possibly could with the way that He has worded all of the above Scripture verses.
Bottom line – God’s free gift of eternal salvation can only be received by accepting His Son Jesus Christ and the blood that He has personally shed for each and everyone of us on that day He died on the cross.
There is no other way into the kingdom of God! We either come through the blood and the cross – or we don’t come through at all!
I rest my case for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"For whosoever finds Me finds Life and shall obtain favor from the LORD. But he that sins against Me wrongs his own soul: All they that hate Me [& My Words] love death." (Proverbs 8:35-36)
‎"You 'must' speak My Words to them, whether they listen or fail [refuse] to listen, for they are rebellious." (Ezekiel 2:7)
"When I say to a wicked man: 'You will surely die' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life - that wicked man will die for his sin and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the wicked man and he [still] does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin but you will have saved yourself." (Ezekiel 3:18-19)
"But unless you repent you will all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3)
"Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he took warning, and you will have saved yourself." (Ezekiel 3:20-21)
"Whenever any dispute comes to you from your brethren who live in their cities between blood and blood - between law and commandment - statutes and ordinances - you shall warn them so that they may not be guilty before the LORD and wrath may not come on you and your brethren. Thus you shall do and you will not be guilty." (2 Chronicles 19:10)
"When His disciples heard this many of them said: 'This is a hard and difficult and strange saying (an offensive and unbearable message). Who can stand to hear it? [Who can be expected to listen to such teaching?]' But Jesus knowing within Himself that His disciples were complaining and protesting and grumbling about it said to them: 'Is this a stumbling block and an offense to you? [Does this upset and displease and shock and scandalize you?] What then [will be your reaction] if you should see the Son of Man ascending to [the place] where He was before? It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver] the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The Words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are Spirit and Life. But [still] some of you fail to believe and trust and have faith.' For Jesus knew from the first who did not believe and had no faith and who would betray Him and be false to Him. And He said: 'This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless it is granted him [unless he is enabled to do so] by the Father.' After this many of His disciples drew back (returned to their old associations) and no longer accompanied Him. Jesus said to the Twelve: 'Will you also go away?' [And do you too desire to leave Me?] Simon Peter answered: 'Lord - to whom shall we go? You have the Words (the message) of Eternal Life. And we have learned to believe and trust and [more] we have come to know [surely] that You are the Holy One of God the Christ (the Anointed One) the Son of the living God'." (John 6:60-69)
"For You have exalted Your Word above all Your name." (Psalm 138:2)
"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God." (John 1:1-2)
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory: the glory as of the only begotten of the Father - full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)
"As for the person who hears My Words but does not keep them - I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world - but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My Words: that very Word which I spoke will condemn him at the Last Day." (John 12:47-48)
"When His disciples heard it they were greatly astonished saying: 'Who then can be saved?' But Jesus looked at them and said to them: 'With men this is impossible but with God all things are possible.' Then Peter answered and said to Him: 'See we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?' So Jesus said to them: 'Assuredly I say to you that in the regeneration when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory - you who have followed Me - will also sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel." (Matthew 19:25-28)
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son - that whoever believes on Him {Jesus Christ} shall not perish but have Eternal Life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world - but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes on Him is not condemned. But whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed on the name of God's one and only Son." (John 3:16-18)
"The FOOL has said in his heart: 'There is no God'.” (Psalm 14:1)
"BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND YOU SHALL BE SAVED - YOU AND YOUR HOUSEHOLD." (Acts 16:31)
"That if you confess with your mouth: 'Jesus Is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead - you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says: 'Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.' For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him. (Romans 10:9-12)
"FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL 'CALL UPON' THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED." (Romans 10:13)
"Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3)
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I Am, there you may be also." (John 14:1-3)
"IF MY PEOPLE, WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, WILL ¹HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND ²PRAY AND ³SEEK MY FACE AND ⁴TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
GOD BLESS!
His Mercy is SWIFT, hallelujah! 11-23-15
I tend to get nostalgic around the Holidays, this year in particular. Some very dear people to me are  facing some very severe battles in their life, health related and such. I was pondering, mining my faith for the nuggets that have been deposited with me, after the many trials I myself have faced. The many mercies that God has lavished upon me as He brought me through them. So, I am driving. driving, driving, paying attention but my thoughts were on a tangent of "remember when's" and "this happened, so that~ that could happen" sort of reminiscing. All the while, for miles now, I had been riding behind a truck that had the letters "SWIFT" written on it.
Boop, just like that, the synapses started firing, all the conversations of the day, happenstances and confirmations, rolled out across the forefront of my perception. Ahhahhh, Yes Lord, I see the connection. The conversation with such & such, about How God doesn't send evil our way to punish us over infractions, we reminded each other that You are long suffering and would gently correct by way of searing the conscious before sending bodily harm to exact a punishment.I had more realizations occur, His mercy is going forth, paving the way.
The prayers I have been petitioning for, for the welfare of three precious ladies fighting for their lives. There is that three again, the number symbolizing confirmations. In a matter of minutes, so many things clicked into place, it was like a key lining up with every part of the cylindrical lock.
So, the message, the gist, the residual scope of what transferred to me is that You are swift when it comes to Mercy. That we are encouraged to pray because it is the life line of help to those truly in need. Shortly before I set out to drive, going where I was going, I happened to look down and noticed a bird perched on a hoop, it was an earring. I know birds to be a symbol prosperity and welfare. This visual struck a chord with me. I just love how You place things in my path Lord that resonate with what is going on in my thoughts and travels. Even as I was driving, I commented as to "why is everyone driving like a maniac, so fast, everyone is always in such a rush?!"
I am so thankful that He is long suffering and Swift in His mercy. I took every one of these occurrences as confirmations to me, from Thee,  Lord. The only thing we ever need rush toward is repentance. Everything else is tempered and tethered by Your all knowing, all sufficient, Omniscient and generous Grace!
We have so much to be thankful for, find those things, focus on them and hold fast to THEM!
I hope everyone has a truly blessed and happy Thanksgiving!
Psalm 103:8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, patient, and abundantly rich in gracious love.
Romans 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
God's Offer of Mercy
55 The Lord says,
“Come, everyone who is thirsty—
    here is water!
Come, you that have no money—
    buy grain and eat!
Come! Buy wine and milk—
    it will cost you nothing!
Why spend money on what does not satisfy?
    Why spend your wages and still be hungry?
Listen to me and do what I say,
    and you will enjoy the best food of all.
“Listen now, my people, and come to me;
    come to me, and you will have life!
I will make a lasting covenant with you
    and give you the blessings I promised to David.
I made him a leader and commander of nations,
    and through him I showed them my power.
Now you will summon foreign nations;
    at one time they did not know you,
    but now they will come running to join you!
I, the Lord your God, the holy God of Israel,
    will make all this happen;
    I will give you honor and glory.”
Turn to the Lord and pray to him,
    now that he is near.
Let the wicked leave their way of life
    and change their way of thinking.
Let them turn to the Lord, our God;
    he is merciful and quick to forgive.
“My thoughts,” says the Lord, “are not like yours,
    and my ways are different from yours.
As high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so high are my ways and thoughts above yours.
10 “My word is like the snow and the rain
    that come down from the sky to water the earth.
They make the crops grow
    and provide seed for planting and food to eat.
11 So also will be the word that I speak—
    it will not fail to do what I plan for it;
    it will do everything I send it to do.
12 “You will leave Babylon with joy;
    you will be led out of the city in peace.
The mountains and hills will burst into singing,
    and the trees will shout for joy.
13 Cypress trees will grow where now there are briers;
    myrtle trees will come up in place of thorns.
This will be a sign that will last forever,
    a reminder of what I, the Lord, have done.”
Prayer Circle For Paris
This is an event I began on Facebook. You can participate from wherever you are, online of off. Please join us. Prayer is so pwerful and effective. More than ever this world needs our prayers!
Its URGENT!
The Most effective and strongest prayer we have is that of prayer over our enemies. Its Leveraging Gods unilateral justice system in a way that is irrefutably effective. There is a saying that says that we are either witness to someone or a witness against them. Likewise, when an injustice is done the burden lies upon us to pray, not because what they did was right but because once we are infringed upon we are viewed as plaintiffs in God's court of law and they are viewed as defendants. Burden exists on both sides, our case is made through the witness of the Holy Spirit. God in His benevolence honors the righteous request. It is a shifting in the supernatural world, the likes of which cause demons to flee, souls to repent and unhinge the perceived power of the enemy. It cuts through the smoke screen of deception quicker than a hot knife through butter.
Its so easy when something like this happens to give into the temptation to fight back, to hate, to shake our fists in anger! I am not saying that these feelings and actions aren't justified. Surely, they are! We need to keep a right perspective though. How do you want to live your life? Keep doing that! Keep living life the way you always have. Rise, work, play, eat, sleep and visit those whom you care for. Make merry and make memories. Do not let fear or anger rob you of life's joys! Keep a proper perspective.
Combat the enemy with weapons they can not match, obtain or carry! The weapon is PRAYER! Its always available, there is endless ammunition and spot on guided accuracy.
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Mark 9:29 And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”
Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven
Better to give away a smile away than to take one away! 11-2-15
You need to be reminded that the JOY of the Lord is your strength. Yes, that comes straight from scripture. Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
Let's take a closer look, through Matthew Henry's commentary.
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
Nehemiah 8:9-12 It was a good sign that their hearts were tender, when they heard the words of the law. The people were to send portions to those for whom nothing was prepared. It is the duty of a religious feast, as well as of a religious fast, to draw out the soul to the hungry; God's bounty should make us bountiful. We must not only give to those that offer themselves, but send to those out of sight. Their strength consisted in joy in the Lord. The better we understand God's word, the more comfort we find in it; the darkness of trouble arises from the darkness of ignorance.
Doesn't it make you happy to be able to give something. Yes, we can always find a way to give, if even a little bit to others who are less fortunate. You just have to be willing, and subscribe to the mindset that all that we have is but loaned to us from the Father. Therefore, we can always find something, some way, some blessing to bestow upon others. This too should be our Joy.
We are joyful because we know Him. Because we can give from the surplus of His bounty, entrusted to us. In doing so, we send His joy to populate the hearts of others. When people have their needs met, or even a small, simple desire, they feel validated, worthy, restored in some way. This is more meaningful and valuable usually than the thing itself, that is gifted.
This word "Joy", the meaning and deeper meanings (which are precious to me) have been swirling through my mind. From when I awake, until I lay my head upon my pillow. My joy is precious to me, the joy which the Lord gave to me and the Joy of those whom I hold dear. It's our not so secret weapon, so use it and use it often!
As a friend I shared a conversation about this, we agreed that Jesus must have just laughed in the enemy's face. When he thought that he had defeated our Saviour, he was so far from the truth. But isn't that the ultimate irony, the farther one is from the truth, the less able one is to discern it. God empowers us to do this also. To simply cling to our joy, like a flint, ignoring and overlooking the feeble attempts, the traps, the obvious and not at all subtle stupidities. We can do that when we keep our eye on the knowledge of the outcome, the final play, that coveted position & title is already secured.
Proverbs 31:25
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.
Proverbs 15:13-14
A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed. The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly.
Proverbs 17:22
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Psalm 119:135
Make your face shine upon your servant, and teach me your statutes.
Psalm 34:5
Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.
Job 9:27
If I say, ‘I will forget my complaint, I will put off my sad face, and be of good cheer,’
Numbers 6:25
The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
Proverbs 15:13
A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed.
Psalm 139:1-24
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. ...
Ephesians 6:7
Rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man,
Isaiah 51:11
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Psalm 96:1-13
Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens. ...
Romans 16:16
Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.
John 4:16
Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”
