His Name is Mighty 6/2/14

There is a very corrosive spirit that attaches itself to people who feel justified, people who have un- resolved emotional baggage, anger, resentment, disdain, who suffer from lack of tolerance, education and/or mental stability. It's the spirit of profanity, it tries to attach itself to these people. Seeking a viable host, this spirit is not impartial to the sick or demented, in fact they have little control over casting it off.

A friend of mine was sharing the rather unfortunate and uncomfortable fact that one of the elderly dementia patients on the same floor of where their parent is recovering/residing, suffers from just such a spirit. anyone who tries to engage in conversation or comes within earshot of this woman is bombarded with a barrage of insults and expletives that would make a truck driver turn red with embarrassment. The staff roll their eyes or literally shove food into her mouth, if its dinner hour trying to shut her up, but this is only masking or ignoring the sad and simple truth, it's a spirit that needs to be cast out.

I know many people who entertain just such spirits, to lesser or varying degrees. theses people seldom realize how offensive this vernacular is or even what the truest implications of what its presence means. Left unchecked, it's a condition that leads to moral and spiritual decay as well as exposing the host to the unfortunate misrepresentations or consequences of allowing it to reside and abide with them.

Everyone is entitled to a moment, we've all been there, to one degree or another, even that unfortunate slip can cause us shame or embarrassment. Have you ever noticed though, how easy and effortless the callous ones are that take the Lords name in vain? It's the name above all names, and it is charged with power, that's why it's a favorite of the spirit of profanity, it's meant to offend God. There isn't a believer I know who isn't equally offended, if &  when we hear it, because we reverence and respect that name for what it stands for, our sovereign and Mighty Lord! We recognize the unfortunate position of the offender whether it be in ignorance or indifference.

The word of God explains that the evidence of our inward man will become manifest in our outward man by the content of our speech. It's our job to self check and line up with what is good, true, holy and respectable. if you encounter this spirit, take authority over it in Jesus name! Cast it off and out of the person! Just as you would a bug or some other intrusive presence that might land on their person.

I plead the blood of the Lamb protection over me and mine, over all whom I hold dear, over all who read and hear this. In the mighty name of Jesus and through that Authority, I cast out the spirit of profanity, from all whom would come in contact with me, from all whom I pass and engage with in my journey. It command you spirit of profanity to depart from those whom I hold in my mind right now, from this elderly woman and from all others like her, to weak or ignorant to know better. I cast you out, depart and command you to keep going, do not stop, keep going, keep going, back to the author of lies, you are sent to the pit where you belong.

The worst litter in this world is that of language, it's stench and odor is the foulest of all, it's corrosive decay can undo the structure of integrity, morality and  civilized society. It must be addressed and returned to sender with no forwarding address!

Have a blessed week and remember, speak words of life and love, power and presence. We get what we focus on!

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man.

Matthew 12:35

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

Ephesians 4:29
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

Ephesians 5:4
Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

Proverbs 26:19
is one who deceives their neighbor and says, "I was only joking!"

Colossians 3:8
But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
