Once again, God is so good to offer multiple overlapping signals about a topic. This week, the topic and focus is about TIME.
Time is a tool that God designed for us, so that we could measure. It is a necessity for us, in our environment, dividing the day from the night, days from months, months from years. Even down to the millisecond, our entire experience is incredibly short but marked & measured by a billion or more intervals.
In order for God to be omnipotent and omnipresent, He must be all things at all times. With God, there is NO time, time is something He assigned to this earth life experience for humans. As He always was and always will be.
Two very dear friends of mine, within the same week participated in just such a conversation with me, about this very topic. In a conversation with one of these two friends, God revealed something so incredibly powerful and illuminating to me. For us, 2000 years ago, Jesus conquered sin and death, covered us with His blood through the sacrificial covenant and sealed our salvation with guaranteed placement upon our acceptance of servitude to Him in His divine Authority. Do you realize fully what this truly means?
In order for you to be saved, to surrender to God, to accept Him, and walk in His righteousness; God knew before you were created, that you would be born under the sin curse, He knew that you would need salvation, He knew that you would be offered salvation, He made it possible for you to choose, even creating a possibility for you should you refuse. He, in His omniscient Love and total grace, knew that you would choose Him and your name appears in the Book of Life, as it has since the beginning, as it had to, in order for the possibility to exist (which is merely a concept for us) as time never had a start but always was. It is us, who are created out of His will. We are His will. That is God's will. We are the expression of His will. Both collectively and individually. We are gifted with a choice to walk in His will, or to resist His will. The latter of the two containing all of the negative consequences and the better of the two, leading to sanctification and salvation.
Now, let’s apply this concept to His word and His promises. He tells us repeatedly, as we believe so we shall receive. Are you perceiving a shift in your awareness yet? Are you perceiving a shift in your belief system yet?
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
His word assures us, that 2000 years ago, our sin debt was paid in full by Jesus Christ. That satan was sentenced to Eternal damnation, he was defeated! That means that the Evil one is already serving his sentence. He is so warped and deceived by is own woeful disobedience that he doesn't recognize the futility of his striving. The war is won, the fate is sealed and the sentence is not reversible. The strife he causes is an affliction to mankind, but God in His goodness gave us AUTHORITY over the evil one. Scripture says so. Too often we accept this punishment out of weakness and ignorance. God doesn't want us being the victim, there are too many scriptures to list of His warnings to us about the character of lucifer and his demonic minions.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
When we ask God for something (providing that it does not interfere with His laws and general benevolent will of our lives), it is as certain as time itself. It is appointed. It is also written that we should believe that we have it and through Him we will. Time is a series of appointed increments. All things occur in God's appointed time. A good parent never forces a child, before he or she is ready, to accept a new food, a new skill or a new concept until they are capable. God is our Good parent, ready to facilitate our needs in a manner that is cooperatively conducive to our readiness. He is the giver of Good gifts and His will is to offer us a future and a hope. The recipe for this is to ask, to believe and to trust; ask for what you need, believe that you have it and trust that He will deliver in the appointed time.
