Goooood Morninnnnnnnng,
What can we possibly offer to the one who has Authored & Created all things?...When Jesus Christ in the Flesh died on the Cross to absolve our sins through the sacrifice of going full circle, just as man does, from birth to death, in his sacrifice the debt of sin was paid, the conquering of death, the fulfillment of scripture, the release & redemption of every soul prior & post was in one collective act, reconciled! In & through THAT SACRIFICE...God made an OFFERING of salvation to us. He didnt stop short of the sacrifice, in fact His whole life was spent in preparation for it and poured out in the fulfilling of it.
"WHAT IS YOUR OFFERING?", "Where is your sacrifice?" Offer it up to the Lord....before and beyond the offering plate, deeper than tithing, generosity, or humanitarian efforts. Philanthropy toward the King for His Kingdom is a far greater call. Chances are we will not be called to loose our lives in our sacrifice to the Lord but we should loose our selves, to offer and to sacrifice our will for His. Doing the one thing no one else wants to do, because it's for your God;...that's the stuff that God says, shines through. That's what we call a living sacrifice. Just like going out of your way for a friend speaks volumes, truly we have no better friend than Christ Jesus! The gift of holding back on the self so that the Kingdom may advance.
I heard somebody say..."If you are not sacrificing for Christ...its a good chance you aren't really a Christian." Another heard this and replied, "Who's to say?: It's possible for God to so BLESS a man that he has all he asks for and sees no need to sacrifice, at all, ever." I would say. just as Christ did,... the enemy waits to pounce when we are nice and cozy in our comfort zones (EXODUS 21:13); when resistance is low and your spiritual muscles are weak. Steer clear of the place of complacency.
Look for ways to show God today what service and good you can be....isn't it time to give back a little! What's your sacrifice? Offer it up to God.
Father God we thank you for your patience in our spiritual growing pains. We seek to do your will and find more freedom & joy in the doing so. We look to you Lord for the strength, desire & tenacity to deny our worldly inclinations in exchange for happier union with you. The position of favor is your attention to our rightful acts as you have instructed us in so doing. We look to please you Lord, to preserve our own selves & to honor your presence in & through our lives as being; set apart, reserved, Children of the Most High God, the Children of Light! We look to bring favor and glory to the mention of your name; we ask that you uncover to us each the areas where we may best show this offering of sacrifice to you. In the Mighty name of Yehushua, Jesus Christ Our Lord AMEN!
