Goood Morninnnnnnnng.......
This week the Jewish Nation celebrates a particular feast called Yom Teruah (on or around 9-29-11); there has been much talk about this feast, also known as the Feast of Trumpets and in the past it had been referred to as the Feast where "No one Knows the Day or Hour". Many of us who have been seeking deeper revelations about the old testament events that hint or offer reflections of things to come can see there is a great mystery in and around this feast day and everything about it.
The name itself provides a clue; Teruah means to make a loud noise.In comparison the noise made by a trumpet is loud but so is a large gathering of people shouting in unison ;
“And it shall come to pass when the ram’s horn makes a long blast, when you hear the sound of the shofar, the entire nation will shout a great shout, and the wall of the city shall fall in its place, and the people shall go up as one man against it.” (Joshua 6:5)
Here the word “shout” appears twice; #1 as the verb form of Teruah & #2 as the noun form of Teruah.
Although this verse specifies the sound of the shofar (ram’s horn), the mention of Teruah twice refers to the shouting in unison of the Israelites which was followed by the fall of the walls of Jericho.
Currently, it is widely known as "Rosh Hashanah", which means “head of the year” and also “New Years”. But the Lord revealed something to me as I was skimming over my bible. The book of Nehemiah, Nehemiah had decidied Israel had taken enough abuse from their enemies and organized the rebuilding of a fortified wall surrounding Jerusalem. Nehemiah was an inspirational Spiritual warrior for the Nation. Sometimes walls are meant to trap and sometimes walls are meant to protect.
The principle being taught here has to do with the intersection between God’s sovereignty and human responsibility.
Nehemiah wept over the many killed, the treasures lost. Then, he prayed! Prayer is necessary, use your mouths, use your hearts, clasp your hands together and pray down the protection of our Brothers and Sisters. Many things must befall the Nation of Israel as they are prophetic and scriptural, this does not alleviate us from our calling and mission.
"During Rosh Hashanah they pray with the shofar. The steady blast of the shofar, tekiah, signifies our direct approach to God."http://www.myjewishlearning.com/holidays/Jewish_Holidays/Rosh_Hashanah/In_the_Community/Shofar/Traditional_Teachings.shtml
Do you need walls rebuilt or walls broken down?...Pray!...God is the one who can solve the unsovable,...but we are th hands and feet. If a wall needsto be built, physical labor would need to be employed to accomodate that and the same thing comes in the tearing down. Spiritual walls crumble at the rightesous words delivered by the mouths of the elect!
Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
The Feast of Trumpets, Yom Teruah of which No one knows the Day or Hour might be the perfect starting point for us to REALLY SEEK GOD, LOOKING FOR HIM as we ought, expecting Him as He is faithful and waiting for Him, for all of our answered prayers (they will surely come) Just as surely, He will come! Let's SHOUT to the Lord offering praise and PRAYS!
Heavenly Father, as we approach this great feast day and stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters, we pray directly for their restoration and protection. Lord, we seek for the Jewish Nation to return to the covenant made with you, which was broken and then repaired through the Lord Jesus Christ, Lord we pray for the unveiling, the revelation of your Word, the Living Word; Our Christ and Savior! Let your magnificent gift of salvation, the dispensation of the Holy Spirit, the redemption of your prodigal, the apple of your eye, return to you! Lord we seek you day and night, we acknowledge the Law and the Spirit, we cry out to You for the sake of this world, waiting for the return of our Lord, we shout and praise in the name of the Lord Yehushua, AMEN!
