Who isn't in search of a better night's sleep? There is a latent, reprogramming window, moment of time that we all engage in daily, it's called sleep. What if you turned this area over to God to work with.
There are many that claim they can not fall asleep unless listening to something or having the TV on.
This is why this topic has been brought to my attention so many times. It's a daily practice that when harnessed well and used to create a positive, inner spirit health consciousness, can prove to be so effective in overall wellness.
An unprotected consciousness leads to troubles and anxiety. A protected consciousness leads to wisdom and steadfast humility.
There is a handy APP, for smart phones and iPhone and Tablets, its called You Bible
it allows you to pick a chapter and then hit the speaker symbol and the play button. You can listen to the Word of God using loop feature (mostly uninterrupted) all night long.
Even though you are not fully conscious your precious and vulnerable self conscious is very aware and is sifting, storing and making use of whatever you feed it. TV= Garbage, terror, silliness, mindlessness. Or, the Word of God; hope, history, help, heaven on earth.
As good stewards we are called to make the most of what is given us, our breath, our life, our finances, friendships, service and our rest. We are told to Rest in Him, this is very literal in this case. You can rest in His word.
You will be surprised how this simple act can affect your next day and each day to follow. I won't spoil it, but you'll come to appreciate the unique blissful rest
