Driving in the car the other day, I was listening to K-Love, as I always do. There was a singer, don't remember the name or the songs that he sings but I had heard him speaking. It was one of those two minute exposes, where they give you some insight as to what inspired the lyrics or moved them to write on a particular topic. I had actually heard him say the same thing, a few times before (as I heard what he had said but didn't fully grasp what he was saying) On the road, we have various distractions, our main focus has to be on paying attention to what we are doing. Somehow, at the critical moments in this quick dialogue that he shared, I managed to miss the ahaaa moment. Finally, some clarity came.
His message was that of Parent and Child. He spoke about how they had a Baby Monitor in the room with the infant. They could hear the child cry as well as witness some self soothing, harmonizing, the baby's own brand of music making. He pointed out the difference between a cry of fear and a cry of knowing.
Babies learn pretty early that Mommy and Daddy come to their aid when they cry, so that cry becomes a cry of knowledge, of expectation. They have a confidence in that vocalization which yields the appearance of the comfort and the comfort provider.
This analogy is a good one for us. Are we crying out to God of fear, not trusting, not realizing he is overseeing, capable, able and willing to give us what is best, when it's best?! Or, are we crying out in confidence?!
I cry out to my Father in confidence! I felt last Saturday that my Cry went straight to the throne of Grace over a Medical Practitioner who grossly offended the oath of his office, in premise, in practice and in conduct. I knew, when I said it; "that Man will be dealt with by the Lord God almighty, I am sure of it" I was so incensed over what transpired and in the middle of a crisis, no less! I knew that I knew. I walked away thinking, I have no time for this nonsense, as I quickly regrouped and did what was necessary. I discovered the lack of the trust & respect required, for me to place the care of a family member in their hands. The next day, our help came from a well trusted source, a general practitioner that has helped our family for years and years.
You can see now, how the two worked together. First, I had the occasion, the example, the need and the conflict. Then, I had the opportunity for the clarity, the explanation, the contrast, the ahaaa moment. It makes such perfect sense and it showed me what the man was saying about our cries to Him.
God is our parent, monitoring, overseeing all that transpires. He is on call, 24/7! More so, than the most attentive Mother or the most trust worthy and reliable Dad! He is our care taker, keeper, provider, sustaining force & protector. We need only cry out to Him, in CONFIDENCE!
I cry out to him constantly, asking for ability, courage, discernment, knowledge, provision, strength & wisdom. I know that he is my deliverer and that through Him all my needs are met, When the world abandons us, when those we trust disappoint us, we have a help and a hope, in Jesus Christ our Lord!
Psalm 34;17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Psalm 18;6
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
“For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but
rejoicing comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5).
“When Jesus saw her weeping, and the
Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in
spirit and troubled…Jesus wept” (John 11:33, 35).

A lesson through experience, TKO!
We know that the evil one is nervous, pitiful, a nasty, no good, sore looser. Yes, he already lost! His end is ironclad, there is no escape for him. To add insult to injury, he wants to destroy and corrupt as much of Gods creation as he can. Just like a spoiled rotten scoundrel.
He is so powerless, in so many regards. Scripture itself tells us that we have the Lords power & authority to overcome the enemies deception and grasp. I know I am not the only one who has either faced attacks on every level, from physical, to financial, to familial.
One thing that comes to my mind is a particular day, a while back. I was on my way to take care of some business. I had about a 20 -30 minute car ride ahead, as the area I'd be traveling through is thick with in town traffic. I decided that on my way there, I would begin praising God for everything in my life. Every car, person, road sign, tree, scene in the sky, cloud, song, every faculty I possessed, every thing I could think of and spot, acknowledge and list. It went on and on and on, I laughed a few times, I even had a few overlapping thoughts as I listed thing after thing, thinking wow, God supports and supplies everything, how amazing that we just do not realize everything is a blessing. This exercise was so invigorating! Even though I spoke aloud for almost 35 minutes straight, I felt great, a little thirsty BUT I mean GREAT, GREAT GREAT; like I had just received an oxygen boosted cocktail.
Later on, on my way to leave the area. Something bad happened. It was a setback but I can see in the spirit that what I did before I got there helped to mitigate the damage. It could have been, should have been, so much worse. You see the enemy wants us so focused on whats wrong, that we ignore our power, forget about our blessings, overlook our opportunities. We have the power to knock him out, to thwart him, to put him back in his powerless place. Do not give him a foot hold the scripture says and its so true. Even the bad thing, we can yank our foot out of his mouth by simply praising God for the victory that He will give us over it.
Imagine you have a weapon, and you are going to load that weapon with ammunition. The ammo is praise and worship. Imagine a force field, it is powered and activated through gratitude and thanksgiving.
TKO stand for Total Knock Out, but remeber this for your day to day struggles
The King Overrides (TKO)
Matthew 4:10-11
10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,
“‘You shall worship the Lord your God
and him only shall you serve.’”
11 Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.
Luke 10:16 He who hears you, hears me…
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation…James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
PRAISE AS A SPIRITUAL WEAPON
2 Chron. 20:1
It happened after this that the people of Moab with the people of Ammon, and others with them besides the Ammonites, came to battle against Jehoshaphat.
2 Chron. 20:15 And he said, "Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ’Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
2 Chron. 20:17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you."
2 Chron. 20:21-25 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying:
“Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever."
[22] Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. [23] For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. [24] So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped. [25] When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away their spoil, they found among them an abundance of valuables on the dead bodies, and precious jewelry, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away; and they were three days gathering the spoil because there was so much.
Spiritual Implication:
Praise lifts your eyes from the battle to the victory, for Christ is already (excerpt from http://www.sermoncentral.com/sermons/how-praise-can-be-a-weapon-in-spiritual-warfare-timothy-lee-sermon-on-worship-benefits-71161.asp )

Do the Math, ♂ + ♀ = Matrimony
Do the Math, ♂ + ♀ = Matrimony
There is pervasive problem these days, of indifference and ignorance. Ignorance toward the meaning of things, the actual purpose. Indifference toward the acceptance of natural laws, unavoidable differences and the purpose behind them. Differences are important, they shouldn't be ignored but rather embraced and celebrated. In the biological world, certain differences, when combined, can either be beneficial or harmful. Example: Bleach and Ammonia, while they each work great individually, if combined, the combination is toxic and deadly.
I was speaking with a member of my family, we were discussing an interesting mathematical parallel. If you take a positive and a negative, it brings you back toward the center/decimal. If you were to combine a positive and positive it brings you farther to the left and way from the decimal. Same thing with the negative, if you take a negative and a negative, you get farther in the other direction.
Men and women are opposites, no matter how anyone wants to slice it, it still requires a male sperm and a female egg, in order to make another human being. This is what we call procreation. So when opposites are joined in marriage, a movement to the center is achieved. When similars are joined, a movement away from center is achieved. This is mathematically factual. Its biologically designed this way for the survival of humanity. The very people who fight this fact, are the result of this natural law. They are, themselves, offspring of a Man and Woman. FACT!
Some things are unchangeable. Some things just are, the way that they are, regardless of whether we can live up to, accept or conform to it. The longevity and integrity of our welfare rests upon our ability to stay in God's Grace. His Grace requires that we adhere to His word. His word is pretty specific on these moral matters. You can not argue this case in court with God, nor should anyone attempt to shoot the messenger. Man may have wrote it, and man may have reproduced His word by publishing copies, however, it was God Himself who dictated it.*

The number zero is at the center of the number line. The addition of two negatives always leads to a greater negatives. -1 + -1 = -2. Further to the left on the number line. The addition of two positives always leads to a greater positive. 1 + 1 = 2. Further to the right on the number line. The addition of a negative plus a positive always lead to a greater movement to the center. +1 + -1 = 0Right at the center.
FACT!
Thousands of years ago, there was no 'Justice of the Peace', or 'wedding chapel', in God's eyes, the minute you had sexual relations with a person, you were considered married to them. If you were to take that union disrespectfully, that would fall under His domain of judgement, and it's called "fornication". Marriage
was designed and instituted for the Protection of the family, to legitimize the offspring of two people. The two people being Male and Female. It was a
legal contract between a male and female spouse, as far back as 1250–1300.
The very word itself is derived from the two (Male plus female)...
excerpt: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marriage#Etymology
"This in turn is derived from Old French marier (to marry) and ultimately Latin marītāre meaning to provide with a husband or wife and marītāri meaning to get married. The adjective marīt-us -a, -um
meaning matrimonial or nuptial could also be used in the masculine form
as a noun for "husband" and in the feminine form for "wife."
Being a "good person" or "loving" someone is not enough to change physical & natural laws, nor should it be a platform for amending the legal. Just because a Father loves his daughter and vice-versa, that doesn't mean he or she should be allowed to Marry or to create offspring, that is called 'Incest'. Incest is also FORBIDDEN in the bible, as well as in most normal societal circles.
Some things are unchangeable. Some things just are, the way that they are, regardless of whether we can live up to, accept or conform to it. The longevity and integrity of our welfare rests upon our ability to stay in God's Grace. His Grace requires that we adhere to His word. His word is pretty specific on these moral matters. warning: PRIDE cometh before a fall. 7/6/15
There is a difference between Pride and being proud. It is one thing to be proud of an accomplishment, overcoming a struggle, or even to be proud of someone else's accomplishment, like a child or a student. The type of PRIDE that causes a problem is the one that promotes itself over and in the face of the almighty. When it smacks of indifference or steps on His mandates and laws.
It is God who provides every single thing, from the conceptual & ethereal to the physical & tangible. God created, birthed and supports us, the whole entire world and everything that has ever come to be. So, when we really take inventory of our blessings, our abilities, our efforts, it is highly fitting to remember and acknowledge He whom has made it all possible.
Noah's ARK was an impressive thing, no doubt. BUT it was God who designed the blueprint, gave the order, issued the permit and supported the growth of the trees from seed to sapling. Noah didn't think all that highly of himself and the only ones who paid any attention to him were his family and the animals that obeyed God's shewing.
We are but mere copies of His greatness, we embody some attributes as we have been made in His image but all of the credit goes to the Almighty! The problem arises when we forget to give Him credit or we seek to puff ourselves up, haughtily against or in opposition to Him.
How would we feel, in society, if murders, rapists and pedophiles desired equal expression for their bent?! The Bible says Pride cometh before a fall (Proverbs 16:18). We ought to tread cautiously on what we observe, what we admire and what we aspire to. It says "Live and let live" not Live and celebrate every evil notion. Yeah, it is an exaggeration, but in all honesty, sin is sin, in God's eyes it's all very heinous.
If you haven't noticed or observed it, even though God has equipped us to do marvelous things, one can very easily be dropped low, and quite quickly. Just as swiftly, one can also be promoted. Learning to be content no matter what your current status is. Readily offering thanks in season and out. This is the "PROUD" we make God of us, which He is more likely to Bless us through.
Heavenly Father, I pray and plead the blood of the Lamb protection over me and mine and over all who read this. Give them ears to hear and eyes to see, let the Holy Spirit understanding and discernment yield a gentle and contrite outlook. Give us the wisdom and courage to remain humble and to seek Your promotion over our own! Let us readily give You Glory where glory is due. That being always and in all ways attributes to YOU! Thankful Lord are Your children, as we see Your hand in every blessing and there to re-arrange every bad thing that befalls us! In Jesus Mighty name we are salvaged and sanctified. Amen & AMEN!
