The focus this week is on the word "preparation" AND "process". after all, everything that is, is the result of preparation. This week He has shown us about "gratitude", I heard a wonderful sermon about "meditation" about how what we rehearse in our mind directly affects what opportunities we are brought into and what results we are most likely going to get. All of these attitudes and actions are a form of preparation. There is a certain amount of attention that God wants us to be engaged in, but there's also a certain amount of motion & action on God's part, of Him taking action upon us. The result of being in his presence, being very intimate with Him, finds us predisposed to that very undertaking and being conformed and transformed to be more like Him.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Are you prepared to put off more of yourself in order that He may dwell and abide with Greater Presence? Are you prepared to receive the blessings that He has in store for you? Are you prepared for the challenges? Careful introspection points out that some bitter pills are responsible for a lot of your most impressive spiritual skills. God's chisel brings forward the beautiful while it simultaneously sloughs off the external debris of life. That's the process!
Heavenly Father, please reveal to us what we are to expect, embolden us to strive beyond the limitations that we once perceived as impenetrable. Bring us into closer communion with You. Fortify our resolve to be in Your presence, to carry out your will, bringing the light of the Gospel to every corner of every heart on earth. That every heart would delight in thee, every mouth would speak Your praises, know Your name(s), Promises, Power and Might! In Jesus Mighty Name AMEN
Be in His word, to be closer. Be about His business. Be about His agenda, not another.
Galations 5:13-26
Life by the Spirit
13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a]; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[b] 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[c] you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.WATCH THIS:
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
