Susan Artszcraftsz
My mother, when she was alive, took great pleasure in sharing this memory she had of me from when I was quite young! Having five children she and my father took us all to mass every Sunday, it was part of our routine, it was just normal! Being that I was so young, I think she was wondering if I knew what was going on, if I was paying attention. So, this one particular Sunday, I'm standing on the pew (I guess I was that little that I couldn't see things unless I stood up on it) so whenever everyone else would stand, I would stand up on the pew. The sermon was sort of 'tongue-in-cheek', saying something to the effect of ...God loves us too much! I, not understanding the exaggeration, sort of turned to the side, motioning to my mother (hiking my hands up on my hips and letting out a loud huff), as if to say, oh my gosh, did you hear what he just said, as if it was sacrilege! I exclaimed, "God loves us too much?! huh".....Meanwhile the pew behind us was filled with six or seven nuns, apparently, they got such a kick out of it, she said that all of them couldn't help but giggle and bust out laughing over it! Later on, (I guess at some point while at home) my mom took the time to talk to me and asked me if I understood who Jesus was and different things pertaining to salvation. She said that I was very concerned after hearing part of the sermon where he talked about how Satan would try to trick us, coming to us as a wolf in sheep's clothing. So, my concern was very much along the lines of how will I know, how will I know whether it's Jesus or not. She was so kind and very, very wise; she said, "Susan, if we were in a room full of people, in the dark (complete darkness) and everybody came up and hugged you, one by one, would you know the difference between My Hug and somebody else's"? so I closed my eyes, and said, "oh yes mommy, I would know YOUR HUG"! She then said, "just like that, that's how you know Jesus because He loves you so much that you can feel it, its beyond familiar" I never again feared being tricked, I knew that I would always know the Lord, that I was that important Him! So, I guess on a very intimate and very basic level, at the youngest possible age of maybe three or four I knew who Jesus was and I accepted him, .....
Years later, I came to know the LORD in a very conscious and deliberate way, choosing him again and refining my beliefs at the age of 20 and since then my relationship has deepended and blossomed to a level I can only attribute to Him, in His sovereign and faithful promises. I was baptized as a baby and once again, two years ago The best parts of me remain because of Him and everything that means nothing has fallen away or is surrendered and I am so blessed! \0/ Thank you Abba Father

What the Bible says about the act of witnessing....its OUR DUTY!
Galatians 6:9
6:9 So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.
John 15:4-5
15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me – and I in him – bears much fruit, because apart from me you can accomplish nothing.
Mark 16:15
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
Jeremiah 1:7-8
But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.”
1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Romans 10:17
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
