Welcome!

Let me introduce you to the Body of Christ NY Tithing Table; a place where you can come and sew seeds for God's Kingdom!

People who are in very serious need and some fabulous organizations which do amazing things to help people in every aspect of life, from curing cancer, to natural disasters, to food for the poor and free Bibles to anyone who doesn't have one!

HERE I PRESENT TO YOU TABLE 1   Place settings 1 through 6 (the people I speak of have come to me through the Body of Christ on Facebook, they are just like you and me... difference being they are homeless and facing some extreme conditions. Please, if you have the means to donate a vehicle, offer employment, equip or enable these folks in any way possible, it will make such a huge difference.

• 1.   A woman, her daughter and her grandson in the state of Washington, in need of a vehicle and safe warm place to live. Any assistance or help will be greatly appreciated and is very much needed! THEY HAVE NO WHERE TO LIVE AND ARE LIVING IN EXTREMELY PRECARIOUS CONDITIONS!

• 2.  A woman in the Georgia area looking to provide a home for her Daughter and her two granddaughters. She is in need of a vehicle and has been relying on the kindness of family and friends, being bounced from place to place. She has experience cleaning houses and is looking to get back into business in order to be able to provide for herself. Some new accounts would be greatly appreciated and naturally, a vehicle in this area is highly essential. This type of assistance would help her get to where she needs to be in order to work and get back on her feet!

• 3.  A woman  is currently displaced, seeking shelter and employment. I am awaiting further information on how and where she can even get assistance sent to her.

• 4.  A family in the Georgia area, their home caught fire and they are living in a trailer. They have basics covered but they are inbetween jobs and assistance. Full time employment for the Dad who CAN RUN HEAVY EQUIPMENT FOR LAYING PAVEMENT. The couple has five children between them, only two are able to live with them where they are at.

• 5.  A woman in the Westchester NY area, she is of retirement age. Was living in a shelter, just happened to get into a an apartment as a room mate with an elderly woman. Praise God...she is still in need of a vehicle to get to her part time job, she has very little belongings and most of what she makes goes to pay rent and public transportation to and from work.

• 6.  This spot remains Bill's spot; a homeless man that I stopped to assist with a friend who was visiting from out of town. It was one of the coldest days I can remember (around November 15, 16 or 17th, 2010) and he was laying on the side of the road here on Central Avenue in Yonkers. I SPOKE WITH BILL IN HIS EAR AND TRIED AS BEST I COULD TO COMFORT HIM, TO REMIND HIM THAT HE IS NOT FORGOTTEN OR FORSAKEN. WE PRAYED THE LORD'S PRAYER AND HE WEEPED. HE TRIED TO TELL ME HIS LAST NAME BUT I COULDN'T MAKE IT OUT :( The paramedics who came referred to him as a regular, which just broke my heart! I have no idea where he is at or how to help him OTHER THAN TO PRAY! I pray forYOU every day BILL, wherever you may Be, I pray God's favor rest upon you and that people find kindness and generosity in their hearts for you! 

I am looking for Volunteers in and around these areas who can be the hands and feet, if you have any resources that you feel can help these folks please come forward and contact me. If you know of anyone that should be on this list, please find out what it is they need and get this information to me. Naturally if you are reading this You can HELP, I ask you to pray for these folks right now, God knows who they are and how to help them immediately, if nothing else...PLEASE KEEP THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS! MONDAY MORNING MESSAGE For The Body Of Christ February 28, 2011

Gooooood Morninnnnnng

For today, let's begin by reading this (all too important) message that is tucked away in scripture; it's more important than perhaps you know.

Luke 10:25-37 

 25And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

 26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

 27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

 28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

 29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

 30And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

 31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

 32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

 33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

 34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

 35And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

 36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

 37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

There is a saying; "The character of a great man is defined more by how he treats someone who is of little value to him than how well he treats those who may prosper him". In the above scripture reference, we see Jesus himself not only instructing the man (but He himself, in action, doing this very same thing) He could have easily just rebuked Him and left it at that but His mercy here was so great. Some of us are in just such a deficit as this man who asked this question of Jesus, not realizing our own short comings, what we have or why we are even here! We are here to be the Lord's hands & feet! We should be delivering the word and ministering to every need, spiritual & carnal.

Today's central theme is to offer you a strong reminder that all things belong to God: your children, your homes, your possessions, everything. Recognize that if you have the means to help someone, you should be doing so whenever the opportunity presents itself. If you are in a position of power or influence, it is God who placed you in that; if it is abused or mismanaged, He can remove you just as quickly! If you are in a position of need (as many of us are) there is no shame in asking for assistance or admitting it. I myself have been in that slot for a while now; it is by God's grace, the help of my dearly loved family & friends by which I am sustained. No one is an island and very few are exempt from requiring help at some point in their lives.

The question remains, "What are you doing with what God has lent you?" We are called to be good stewards, putting what He has given us into action for growth and kingdom advancement. If opportunities to help have not manifest themselves to you, I'd be concerned, why not?...Seek them out, No child of God is 'hooked up and hung up' in some private enclave, untouchable and useless. 

So,...Go Sew some Kingdom Seeds & see what His garden grows! God Bless and Have a great week my family!

Proverbs 11:24-25, "There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself."

 "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose hearts (Galatians 6:9).

  "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully" (2 Corinthians 9:6)

Under Attack?...Here's How to Fight Back & WIN!

Things to avoid and or change:

* Alcohol

* Drugs (anything mind altering)

* Sexual Immorality (Adultery, Fornication=Sex before Marriage, Pornography, sexually explicit content)

* Anger

* Gossip

* Lying

* Self abuse (of any kind) mental or physical...(saying bad things to yourself, overeating, starving yourself, etc,.

* Staying up too late (Christians are called the Children of Light, we are of the day) Stay awake during daylight hours        and sleep during the night.

* Fear  (False Evidence Appearing Real) dont give into fears they are useless charades meant to distract and disable.

* Stress (the Bible says to fret over nothing) but offer all things to God in prayer and supplication. Leave it in His lap and walk away from it.

* Your usual routines and patterns should be changed: the enemy gets to know your habits and can work in the hearts and minds of those unpenitent souls in your daily path to cause mischief or harm. Don't discuss your plan changes with anyone, whenever possible (at the very last minute) go a different way to work, take the scenic route home, set your alarm for five minutes earlier, or 5 minutes later. Just keep changing it up. Yes, we all have schedules and need structure but it really isnt all that difficult to do this and you might discover some amazing blessings in the process.

More importantly HERE SOME THINGS TO ADD:

* Have someone you trust walk you through the sinners prayer and accept Jesus as your Savior: He is and will be your first line of defense against the enemy!

* If you have XM Radio put on channel 32 THE MESSAGE, leave this really good Christian Popular Music on all the time, you will see its really quite good. 

* Read the word of God/ the Bible...some websites have a feature where you can have it read to you audibly, you can even download the entire Bible or sections for your IPOD.

* Watch uplifting inspiration YouTube vides related to Christ and Salvation

*Out of nowhere, for any reason, Just speak out the name of Jesus in praise; Glory Be, halleluyah, Praise God, Jesus Reigns, etc. When you go through the check out line and the checker hands you your change and receipt say Thank you and God Bless. This usually makes the persons day! They assume you mean it generically but none the less, it blesses them and it blesses you!   In heaven before Satan's fall, he was orginally the Angel who's job it was to Praise God, naturally, he hates it when anyone brings Glory to the Name of the Lord. I do it all the time just becuase I know that Fact. PRAISE GOD! ~lol

By the power of the Holy Spirit and with Full Authority given to me through Christ Jesus, I bind and rebuke you (evil spirit/Satan/Devil/demon) from any further harm, come out of him/her, you are forbidden to stay in this realm, I command you to return to He who Authored you, you are banished to hell where you are not permitted to escape, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN!

How to Cast Out Demons by Tom Brown

…when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law. Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, "What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!" "Be quiet!" said Jesus sternly, "Come out of him!" The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek. The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, "What is this? A new teaching—and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him."

Mark 1:21-27

Many modern psychologists try to explain these Scriptures by saying that the people in Jesus’ day did not know anything about mental disorders, so they blamed demons for people’s mental sicknesses. However, it was not just the people in those days who believed in demon possession, but Jesus also believed in the reality of demon possession, and by casting demons out of people, they were cured. In other words, if demons are not real, then how did Jesus get good results?

I’ve also seen positive results when driving out demons. For example, years ago I received a midnight call. The young man over the phone, frightened and bewildered, pleaded, "Something has happened to my wife. She has lost her mind. We don’t know what to do, and my mother-in-law said to call you."

In the background, I could hear the wife growling and screaming. I promised him that I would go to his house immediately.

When I arrived, the man opened the door, and I could see his wife on top of the couch, cringing and growling. She was totally psychotic.

I looked into the husband’s eyes and said, "I don’t think you’ve ever seen the power of God before, but today you’re going to see God’s power deliver your wife from demons."

I walked toward the wife and laid my hands on her and spoke sternly to those spirits. I commanded all the spirits to leave. Within a couple of minutes, the woman snapped out of her psychosis. She looked at me and said, "Who are you?" She looked at her husband and asked, "What’s going on?"

She was not aware of the entire incident, yet she was totally back to her normal self. The husband began to cry as he saw his wife delivered from spirits. He immediately gave his life to the Lord.

If demons are not real, then how could this woman as well as countless people be helped through casting out demons? The fact is demons are real and exorcism is real.

The Ministry of Deliverance

The ministry of deliverance must be carried out in accord with the Scriptures. The harm which has been caused by so-called ministers of deliverance is a result of them departing from the Bible and getting into extra-biblical and, worse, unbiblical practices. The Scriptures give us several important facts about Jesus’ ministry of exorcism.

First, Jesus emphasized teaching and preaching above driving out demons. In the above scripture, the reason Jesus came into the Synagogue was to teach. The Bible says the people were amazed at His teaching. Today, I’m amazed at the lack of teaching among ministers of deliverance.

Some people think they are called to specialize in deliverance. Exorcism should not be anyone’s specialty. Every minister should specialize in teaching the Word of God to people, and then when the need arises, they can drive out demons.

Don’t go to Sister Deliverance to get set free from demons. These people seem to have revolving doors with signs that reads: Bring your paper sack with you and prepare to vomit your demons. Don’t misunderstand me, I have seen people vomit after they have been delivered, but I don’t look for it.

People ask, "Why does it seem that people cough or vomit when demons come out?" Well, there is Scriptural precedent for physical manifestations. The Bible says, "The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek." It is normal for there to be physical manifestations when spirits come out, especially physical manifestations through the mouth. Notice that this spirit came out with a shriek.

This is exactly what happened when Philip drove out spirits, "With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many" (Acts 8:7). A shriek is a high, pitch scream. It seems that the exit for evil spirits is through the mouth. After all, it is usually our big mouth which became the open door for demons, so it stands to reason, that the mouth is the exit as well. Coughing and vomiting are manifestations of the mouth.

In my youth, I was working at a local restaurant when one of my fellow employees confided in me. She said, "Tom, I know you’re going to think I’m crazy. But I feel that I have a demon inside of me. Nearly every night when I go to bed, this spirit begins to scare me." This girl was not a charismatic. She was not even a Christian at the time. She simply believed that evil spirits were real.

I told her that I believed her and that I would try to help her. We ended the conversation and proceeded to continue working. We closed the restaurant and started cleaning up. The Lord startled me, "Tom, if you will speak to the spirit now, the demon will go."

I walked to this girl as she was vacuuming the carpet. I said to her, "The Lord spoke to me and told me to tell the spirit to go, and it will go."

She turned off the vacuum cleaner and said, "Then tell it to go."

I pointed my finger at her—she was about ten feet away—and said to the spirit, "In the name of Jesus, I tell you evil spirit to come out of her!"

The moment I said that she gasped, "Ugh!" She looked startled and exclaimed, "Something came out of my mouth. What was that?"

"That was the demon. It’s gone!"

Let me repeat. This girl knew nothing of the charismatic movement. She had never seen people delivered from evil spirits. She had no past experience which could cause her to psychologically make her think that the demon should come out of her mouth. But it did. This incident is similar to the biblical examples of shrieking.

Don’t Talk with Demons

A second fact about Jesus and demons is this: He never held conversations with demons. He said, "Be quiet! Come out of him!"

It is true that on one occasion Jesus asked a demon his name, but this was because the demon refused to go. I suppose you may ask a demon its name if they refuse to depart, but it’s not wise to hold a conversation with them. Ordinarily, Jesus shut the mouths of demons. This is the normal way of deliverance.

I heard someone pound on my door. As I opened it, one of my members barged through, "Tom, you have to come with me quickly! There’s a man who’s demon possessed. I and some others need your help to drive out the demons!" I went with him.

As I arrived, there were about four men who were trying to excise the demons from this man. Everyone was shouting different things, "What’s your name!" "Tell us about the realm of the spirit." "Where did you come from?" "Recount to us about the role of demons in Mexico." Everyone was more interested in talking with the demons than casting them out.

The people would grab the man and try to hold him down, but the demoniac simply threw them across the room.

One guy turned to me, "Tom, these demons don’t want to leave. We’ve been at it for several hours. Why don’t you give it a try. Maybe you can cast them out."

I walked over to this man, reached out my right hand and touched his shoulder. Looking him in the eyes, I said, "I’m not talking to the demons, I’m talking to you, sir. Please come over here to the couch and sit down with me." He did.

I asked him, "How long have you been like this?"

"For many years, I have heard these demons talk to me and speak through me. I want to be free, but I can’t."

"Yes you can!" I assured him. "And I believe that you will be set free today."

"Can you drive out the demons from me?"

"I sure can with God’s power."

He grinned, "I think you can."

"I know I can." I laid my hands on the man and said calmly, yet sternly, "In the name of Jesus, I command all the evil spirits to come out of him." I named several which I believed were in him.

No sooner than I said this, the man looked up at me and smiled wide, "They’re gone!" The other men all sensed that the spirits had left him.

That night, the leader of this group came to me privately and asked, "Tom, what were we doing wrong? Why couldn’t we drive out the spirits?"

I explained to him, "You should not hold conversations with demons. By doing that, you prolong the deliverance. Simply, take your authority over the spirits and cast them out!" He accepted what I said.

Give Orders to Demons

This brings us to the third principle about exorcism as witness in the ministry of Jesus: He drove out demons with His word.

When Jesus drove out the demon from the man in the synagogue, the people were astonished on how He drove out the demon. They said, "He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him." They weren’t used to any one driving out demons with simply their words. This is the way Jesus delivered people from demons. Another scripture says,

When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to [Jesus], and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. (Matt. 8:16)

Jesus expelled demons with simply His word. He used nothing else.

I’m surprise how many Christians depend on various methods of casting out demons. The only method you need is your words. Your words can drive out demons.

Yet, when people try to perform an exorcism, they bring out the holy water, a crucifix, candles, incense, prayer beads, a blessed Bible, a prayer book, and anything else they think will be effective to drive out the demons. But they lack one thing: faith.

Listen, if you want to be successful at driving out demons, then take all your religious paraphernalia, and find the nearest garbage can and dump all the unnecessary accessories in it. Then you’ll be ready to drive out demons.
