Hello & Thank you for tuning into another episode of the Monday Morning Message! Happy Memorial Day! Yes, it's Monday, May 27, 2013
Everyone is out BBQing, enjoying the beautiful weather, time off, time with family! Most importantly, we are celebrating something, which is really, truly a tragedy for somebody, right?! Someone who's died in service to this country, a hero, a martyr and right away what came to mind was Our Jesus! The ultimate soldier, and the greatest of all hero's, in My eyes and many others, I am sure! He gave His life so that we may live in freedom, in our earthly life but more importantly, our eternal life!
Just as we take time to honour & celebrate all those who have gone before us, we should also remember those who have gone before us in service to a greater cause, the Kingdom Cause! The Christians, the Saints, those who have lost their life trying to serve the Lord. and bring the word of God all across this world! We live in the greatest land on this planet. We have more freedoms, opportunity, blessings than any other nation. It's not surprising why?! I mean, our land was founded upon the principals of God, that respect and reverence to Him, and if we loose that respect, we are also going to loose those blessings!
So, What's the best way to celebrate and honour this opportunity thats been given to us at such a high cost, well, it's in CAPITALIZING on what's been provided to you. Grab hold of that providence! Worship The Lord, teach the Word of God to your children, the bible says "Train up a child in the way they should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it!" Proverbs 22:6 This is our responsibility; living, utilizing all that's been provided us, and doing so in gratitude!
Well, here we are again, at the end of this weeks show, it's a little short but certainly is sweet, as we all need a reminder once in a while, to be grateful, to live your live so that it has meaning. So that those who have given so much for us, that it does not go in vain!
