PNEUMATOLOGY
Wow, this word literally came to me, I do not recall if or when I might have heard it and for sure have never used it in conversation. Naturally, being the "wordie" that I am, I began to search it out. I knew it must have something to do with wind or air; thinking Pneumatics relates to air powered objects and pneumonia is when someones lungs fill with with fluid. Parallels and Godfirmations began appearing and unfolding instantly, revealing the nugget that God says He has laid aside to be discovered.
Greek word 'pneuma' (Strong's 4151) translated as 'spirit'Pneuma (πνεύμα) is an ancient Greek word for "breath," and in a religious context for "spirit" or "soul."*http://www.studylight.org/lex/grk/view.cgi?number=4151
A Pneumatic Transference device is as simple as this...(a Straw)...on it's own it is useless... But pursed between the lips of the person who seeks to get a drink, it's a means of delivery!
What do we say when something overwhelms us,..."It took my breath away" or "It knocked the wind out of me"....When we dont want to judge something we say; "What ever sets your sail and floats your boat". When someone is volatile or reactive we say; "Oh him, he's just full of hot air"...Those who have no scruples or morals are said to go... "which ever way the strongest wind blows"...When something seems impossible we say, "Don't hold your breath".
The wind of the body produces words, the Holy Spirit carries the word of God and provides that platform for the exchange between human and God. When Jesus rebuked the weather, it was the wind he forbade to blow so relentlessly and recklessly. It was the wind of His body, authored through faith of the spirit, into the spoken Word.
Mark 4:37-3937 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?"39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Matthew 8:16 When the evening came, they brought to him many that were possessed with demons: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
It is our words combined with the intent of the spirit which once yielded to the Lord can lead to salvation. We must confess the Lord Jesus Christ in order to receive the Salvation of the work He performed on our behalf. When you have made reservations at a restaurant... Do you not have to verbally acknowledge your name and your intent?"
Interestingly, on the internet these days, some websites and social networks have "word clouds"....(internet addresses and content hyper-linked to one little word). What determines what gets linked to what?..."Relevance"! Content that is relevant gets linked to words that are relevant. Out of the abundance of the mind(heart), those words appear...It is therefore imperative we guard what we allow in and control what comes out. (thats what we call taking captive every thought) 2 Cor. 10:5
Galatians 3:2-5 This only would I learn of you, Received you the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?3 Are you so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh?4 Have you suffered so many things in vain? if it is yet in vain.5 He therefore who ministers to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
We are to be in the word, in spirit, like it is oxygen to us! Our spirit needs this pure air, to keep and cleanse this vehicle, our bodies. Our physical mind, which is connected to our bodies (spiritual and human) needs exposure to this air to maintain proper function.
2 Thessalonians 2:2 That you are not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is near.
Philippians 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
1 John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life.
There are hundreds of scripture references where Strong's 4151 usage of the word Spirit (wind, breath, soul) is used. I've pulled out a few key ones to help set sail to this mindset.To rely on the Word of God like one relies on oxygen; Oh how different the world becomes, immediately for you! Ü (see below)
Abba Father, I pray that every thought, intent, word and deed be born of the spirit and served through the wind of faith. That every spoken word of mine be edifying. That I may be the conduit for deeply hidden spiritual things brought forward by the Holy Spirit; to serve and be served in the commission of your Word, in truth. By confession and repentance I have accepted my secured Salvation, anchored to Christ by His sacrifice. By faith; I entrust all things to Him and surrendered all for His usage and discretion. Empowered by the spirit, I speak words of health and restoration to the sick, I rebuke the storms of destruction that they should cease, I cast down anything that exalts itself over you; any utterance that gives credit or power to evil or wickedness. I charge the elect to boldly profess the power of the Spirit to deliver the captives, heal the infirmed and protect the innocent. I ask this in the name of your Holy precious Son, Our Lord and Savior...Yeshua Jesus, AMEN
